The tag is spot welded in place and is made of polished stainless steel.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/cowltaglocation.jpg\" alt=\"Cowl tag\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On American built cars, the cowl tag is located on the top of the cowl under the hood next to the drivers side hood hinge. It is riveted in place with special rivets.
