\"Accessory<\/p>\n

The style code consists of two numbers followed by a dash, then a four digit code. The first two numbers indicate the model year. In the example above, “60<\/strong>” represents 1960. The following four numbers indicate the body style. The body style code here however can be misleading when it comes to determining if a car was equipped with a V8 or a L6 engine. Since the Fisher Body plant did not yet know what chassis options a body was destined for, they simply stamped the cowl tags wtih V8 style codes. To determine if a car came with a v8 or L6, see the VIN tag<\/a>. Body style codes are shown in the chart below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
