I sealed inside the weatherstrip channel for the trunk lid as well, since there is a pinch-weld in this area that could hold moisture. The gray primer you see in the picture is Evercoat Featherfill G2&#8230; a high-build primer. This will allow me to fill the surface-rust pitting to the metal, since this area is near the edge of the trunk floor mat, I didn&#8217;t want it to look ugly in case it shows.
